Shandong Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd. manufactured SEM branded wheel loaders in China for more than 60 years and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cater-pillar in 2008. In 2013, Shandong Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd. transitioned to Cater-pillar (Qingzhou) Ltd. and continues to produce SEM branded products.
